WHO: Southern California
Venture Network (SCVN), a nonprofit organization hosts informal monthly
forums uniting entrepreneurs, business executives, management candidates,
venture capital investors and other money providers to help develop entrepreneurial
ventures. SCVN is open to graduates of one of Southern California�s
universities including (USC, UCLA, LMU, Pepperdine, Northridge, UCI, Chapman,
Cal Poly SLO, UCSB, UCR, Cal Poly Pomona, Claremont, SDSU, USD, UCSD, etc.)
WHAT: Three emerging
companies will be given an opportunity to pitch their business plans, while
venture capitalists, experienced executives and members of the audience
discuss their plans. This month�s presenters include ICT/ClearPhone the
premier, fully integrated software solution for videoconferencing. Active.com,
provides fee processing services for event directors, league administrators,
and park directors; TicketClub.com, the only service of its kind on the
Internet providing a sales outlet for surplus tickets for sporting and
concert events.
WHEN/ADMISSION/WHERE:
Tuesday, March 13th, 2001at 6:00 pm Admission is $15; attendance is
free with annual membership. The presentations will be held at the Doubletree
Hotel in the Irvine Spectrum, 90 Pacifica Avenue, Irvine, California 92618,

WHY: The Southern
California Venture Network, the brainchild of Stephen W. Moses, Robert
O�Leary and David Ross. SCVN helps to �Accelerate Entrepreneurial
Velocity � or the speed in which entrepreneurs move from the idea/concept
phase to the revenue generation phase by providing Entrepreneurs a forum
to hone their concepts by presenting and defending them as well as the
opportunity meet potential investors. The March event is an ongoing
series of entrepreneur forums.
HOW: SCVN�s membership
is comprised of business people and professionals from diverse backgrounds
including the software and information technology industries as well as
biotechnology and other services. Membership is open to everyone.
Annual membership fees are $125. Annual student membership is $50.
Event fee is $15. SCVN is also accepting Executive Summaries
