Company
Bio: Founded in 1998 in Orange County, California, Loki works with
leading publishers and developers to port their best-selling PC products
to Linux. Game titles from Loki include Quake III Arena, SimCity 3000 Unlimited
and Heavy Gear II. In addition to this arsenal of games, Loki has initiated
and continues to support several Open Source development projects, including
OpenAL(tm), a cross-platform 3D-Audio Library, and SDL MPEG Player Library
(SMPEG), a general-purpose MPEG video/audio player for Linux.
Scott
Draeker, CEO: Before founding Loki in August 1998, Scott Draeker was
an attorney specializing in technology licensing at Brobeck, Phleger &
Harrison. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University
and a Doctorate of Law degree from Boston University. He is fluent in a
variety of computer platforms from his work as a technical specialist at
Apple Computer, Stanford University and LSI Logic prior to practicing law.
Scott was listed by Linux Magazine in their December 1999 issue as one
of the top fifty people to watch in the Linux community.
Benjamin
Cox, Business Development: Prior to joining Loki as VP of Business
Development, Benjamin Cox founded a successful nonprofit called Linuxfund.org,
which sold affinity credit cards to fund Open Source software development.
Ben's professional background is in finance. He is a graduate of Brandeis
University, where he majored in both History and Economics
